Information on the internet: This postcard pack is made up of 20 cards featuring artwork from talented illustrator Kerby Rosanes. These are the perfect way to share colouring creations with friends and beautiful enough to send out uncoloured if you haven’t the time. Complete with space for a message, address and stamp on the reverse, these pull-out cards are easily removed and posted.

I always like Kerby Rosanes’ designs very much. The doodles in the designs always make it very varied. I will show you some examples of the postcards first.

Since they are postcards, the backside is just as important. There’s more than enough space for writing a message on the backside. Furthermore there’s plenty of space for writing the address of the addressee. What I personaly like very much is the little doodle drawings you see on the backside.

I coloured these cards myself of course. I started with colouring pencils. I chose the Faber Castell Polychromos pens and the Koh-I-Noor polycolor. Both brands coloured very nicely on this paper. The release of the pigment is very good. The pigment is released very easily. Even when using little pressure the pigment is released well, which displays the colours very beautifully. The paper is of such good quality that adapting wasn’t necessary. I’m very happy with my card.

Next I coloured a design with felt-tips too of course. I chose the Tombow ABT Dual brush pens and the Sakura Koi Coloring brush pens. Because the cards are printed on slightly thicker paper there’s no pressing through and you’re able to work in multiple layers. Even making a gradient went without any problems. The ink was absorbed well and quickly by the paper. So you needn’t worry about whiping the ink when you accidentally wipe your hand over it. Again I’m very pleased with the result of this card.

Conclusion : Very nice card book. When you like Animorphia, Kerby Rosanes’ style and like colouring cards or rather colour smaller cards, then these cards are perfect. The various pencils and felt-tips work very well on this paper. And because of the thicker quality of the paper the felt-tips don’t press through. An ideal booklet and a nice asset to my collection.
