Information on the internet: The Flowers Colouring Book provides a creative way to relax and unwind, free the mind, and increase focus and creativity that your inner artist will love. The beautiful line illustrations of dazzling flowers, plants and woodland fauna have been carefully drawn so you can colour in and personalise to make them your own.

This flower colouring book belongs to the same series as Dragons and magical creatures advanced colouring book which we reviewed earlier. A very nice and firm cover and well bound. Various designs, so something there for everyone.

I will give you a look inside first by showing you some examples.

There are so many nice designs, it’s hard to pick one. I chose a design of a single flower to colour first. The flower is in the front so I kept the background a little more serene. I used the Caran d’Ache Pablo and 1 Caran d’Ache luminance. The pencils slide over the paper and the quality of this paper is beautiful once again. You don’t have to use a stumper or blender afterwards. The pigment attaches perfectly and the paper stays nice.

On the next design I used Faber Castell Pitt and Staedler triplus color. On the background I used 1 Spectrum Noir Marker. The felt-tips don’t press through to the backside. The marker does however, but that’s a choice you make, because there’s a design on the backside as well. The paper stays in good shape, it doesn’t bulge and the ink remains between the lines. The paper dries quickly, so it’s very nice for using felt-tips on too.

The fun thing about this book is that there’s a bee hidden on every page. What that bee looks like is described in the front of the book. A nice incidental of finding it.

Conclusion : Next to the Dragonbook this Flowerbook is real fun colouring. The quality of the paper and the book is well looked after. Printed double-sided, but colourable with pencils as well as felt-tips. A diversity of flower-designs, with simple and sometimes elaborated backgrounds. Very nice for beginners as well as experienced colourists. An asset for everyone.
