From Salariya we received this beautiful Dragons and magical creatures advanced colouring book for writing a review on. We want to thank Salariya very much for this.
Information on the internet: The Dragons Colouring Book provides a creative way to relax and unwind, free the mind, and increase focus and creativity that your inner artist will love. The beautiful line illustrations of fantastical beasts taken from world mythology have been carefully drawn so you can colour in and personalise to make them your own.
The first thing that comes to notice is the heavy quality of the cover. A nicely bound book with firm, duplex printed paper. The book is filled with beautiful designs and the main theme is dragons. The book also contains other designs. Easy designs, elaborated ones and even downright detailed designs. Here are some examples.
We will see what will happen when we start to colour. The first design I chose is the beautiful first page of the book. I coloured this design with a combo of Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran d’Ache Pablo. Both pencils go over the firm paper beautifully. The pigment attaches very well so I won’t be needing a blender or stumper. The pencils deliver a very nice shine by themselves on this paper. The background came out well also, just by the use of pencils.
The next design I coloured with Faber Castell pitt brush and Tombow Abt Dual brush. This went very well on this paper. Despite of the fact that the pages are printed double-sided, these felt-tips don’t press through. The ink of the felt-tips stays between the lines and doesn’t run. The paper is of such quality that it dries quickly and you don’t have to be afraid of wiping out the felt-tips by accident.
Conclusion : A very nice and firm colouring book that’s a must-have when you like dragons. Besides dragon-designs it contains a lot of other designs as well. A book suited for colourist of different levels. The paper is of very good quality and despite the fact that the pages are printed double-sided, it’s still very nice to colour with felt-tips. In short a very nice book for the colourist.
