This lovely colouring book contains 31 detailed pages with appealing illustrations to colour.
My first impression of this book : What a nice book and it is bound in an awesome way. There are two bows on the side. This makes it easy to loosen and jou can frame the designs nicely.
The designs are A4 size and the thickness is very good, 180 grams that is.
This is what makes this book different from others, because most books are printed on 100 grams or even 80 grams paper. The designs are various. There are designs with flowers, animals, forests and even mandala’s.
Below I will show you some examples. In the back of the book there’s a double design. Not on 180 grams paper, but a very nice addition.
I coloured my first design with Prismacolor and Marco raffine pencils. I also used a blender pen, brand unknown, and a softpastel from Caran d’Ache.
The pencils go over the paper very well and when you have adapted the coloured parts with the blender pen you can hardly see you’ve used pencils at all. Because of this I can say unqualified that this is one of the most beautiful designs I’ve ever made.
I coloured my second design with Stabilo and Staedler fineliners. I used softpastel hartmund from Caran d’Ache for colouring the background.
Again no negative comments possible and of course there’s no pressing through. Unfortunately the background is not clearly visible on the picture.
I do have a small improvement tip. Top left is the artist forget 2 loops to complete. Perhaps she has done that on purpose, but I personally find it very unfortunate. Not that that makes the book less beautiful, but I can’t color that plate to the end. But that is personally haha.
Conclusion : What a lovely book, nicely bound and containing beautiful designs. The quality is excellent and therefore suited for all kinds of materials. That’s what makes this book very special. Writing a review on this book was great fun for me and I can recommend this book to us colouring fans for sure.
