From Unibul Press we received the book “Coloring Book for Adults with Patterns, Henna Flowers and Mandala” for writing a review about. We want to thank Unibul Press very much for this.

Information you can read on the internet about this book: Coloring books are not only enjoyable but also extremely beneficial for everyone. Adult coloring, much to the surprise of many people, not only reduces stress and anxiety, but also promotes wellness, creativity, and improves motor skills. In other words, adult coloring is the new form of therapy.

We reviewed several books of Unibul Press before. Now we have the book with different patterns, henna flowers and mandala’s. In other books you had a page where you could test your materials, and I miss that in this book. This book contains a diversity of designs. A big plus is that the pages are printed one-sided, so you won’t have any problems when the ink presses through. I will show you some examples from the book first.

Of course I coloured in this book too. I chose a design which I coloured with pencils. I used the Faber Castell Polychromos pens. They coloured well on this paper. The pigment attahed well. Adapting wasn’t necessary in my opinion because the pigment covered the paper enough. I had some colours come back over and over because I had the idea of a mandala with this pattern. I think it came out pretty well.

Next I chose a design which is a real pattern. I coloured this pattern colouring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. They coloured really well on this paper. These felt-tips are a little wtter than other pens, and did press through on the backside, but because the pages are printed one-sided, this is no problem whatsoever. Just to be sure you can put a sheet of paper between the pages to prevent the ink from damaging the next design. I think the result is jolly.

Conclusion : I think it is a big plus that the book is printed one-sided anyway. You will never have to be worried about losing a design because of the ink pressing trough. The pens I udes in this book do this, but that is no problem. The paper remains in good condition, even when you use the wetter zig clean color real brush pens. Pencils also work nice on this paper. When you like colouring patterns, this book is a nice adition for sure.
