From Abrams and Chronicles we received a set Bright Ideas Pencils for writing a review about. We thank them very much for this.
Information you can read on the internet: This set of stylishly designed colored pencils is sure to unleash the imagination of any coloring book fan. With rich, smooth, and brilliant color—perfect for shading and blending—these pencils will add pizzazz to any creative project. The 10 pencils are pre-sharpened and packaged in a sleek and sturdy case, easy to carry with you to any place where inspiration may strike!
As the information reveals, these pencils sit in a nice, firm box indeed. Easy to extend so you can start immediately. This package contains 10 pencils in beautiful, conventional colours.
I coloured my first mandala using 9 of these colours. I only used the white for blending here and there. This works well by the way. The white pencil blends the applied colours very nicely.
The pigment of these pencils is nice and bright. Applying is easy. It’s a nice, soft pencil that deliver its colour well, even when using little pressure. Blending goes well too. I will show you in my next design. Colouring in layers is no problem either. This makes the colours more intense. The tip is pretty firm and I didn’t have any problems with crumbling or breaking.
We recieved the standard colours. There are two other boxes available however, each containing 10 pencils also. Namely a box containing metallic shades and one containing neon colours. Very nice combining these three sets for sure.
I never used these pencils before but I find them very worthwile. They colour very easy because they’re softer. They contain a lot of pigment so you don’t have to use much pressure. They blend well too. Highly recommended for people who like use the layer-technique. It’s also very nice that this set can be extended with the metallic and/or neon set. I’m very pleased and will be using them more often in the future.
These pencils are available at Bol.com a.o.
